Mena Suvari also shaved her head about the same time as Britney Spears last year.
According to Fox News, Britney Spears wasn’t the only star to shave her head last year. Actress Mena Suvari shaved hers, in order to better observe that in America, hair seems to “make a woman.” She told Fox, “It didn’t really hit me until I was getting ready to come back to L.A. and I was like ooh, just wait. I think I know what’s going to happen. The comparison is going to come up. It really sucks that people could look at me and the first thing they think is, ‘Oh, Mena lost her mind.’” Many fans saw Spears’s head shaving to be the first call out for help as she began to slip from reality, but Suvari assures her fans that she was only trying to prove a point, and break away from the Hollywood mold.
