Lindsay Lohan “Borrows” Fur Coat
7-May-2008
Written by: Hillary Frazier
Masha Markova claims Lindsay Lohan stole her $11,000 fur coat from a New York club in January.
According to the New York Post, Lindsay Lohan may have taken a fur coat belonging to Masha Markova after attending a private party at 1Oak in New York, in January. Markova apparently put her $11,000 coat down next to the others, and discovered it was missing at the end of the night. Markova told the New York Post that she later spotted Lohan wearing the missing fur coat in a magazine the next month. She said, “It was my coat. It was no doubt.”
Markova’s lawyer, Merrill Cohen, phoned Lohan’s attorney and threatened to take the case to court, and shortly after, the night club called Markova. She claimed, “They were very discreet, never mentioned a name or even the word ‘coat.’ They just said, ‘We’re going to bring you something.’” Two days later, the coat was returned, with smells of cigarettes and alcohol, and damages to the lining. Markova expects Lohan to apologize, as well as pay at least $10,000 for the inconvenience, claming there is no way this could be an accident.
