Jessica Simpson and Her Potential Husband-To-Be

Marriage might be in the air for Jessica Simpson and football star Tony Romo.
There’s been plenty of buzz in the air that this duo might walk down the aisle soon. Us Weekly has spotted Romo shopping for rings. Their latest cover read, “Jessica Calls Tony ‘My Future Husband,’” and the issue featured Simpson saying that she “dreams of being a football wife.”
The Chicago Sun-Times spotted the couple in Las Vegas partying last weekend. Simpson was seen wearing a “chunky diamond” on her left hand, but a source told the paper that she yanked it off “whenever she thought someone might snap a photo.”
Reps for both Simpson and Romo have denied the marriage rumors. But they don’t seem to be embarrassed about acknowledging their love. She said in the June issue of Glamour that she’s “in love—big time,” also adding that Romo loves her for who she is and made her comfortable with herself. Opposite of the past relationships correlated with her image, Simpson admitted that her exes made her think that she “had to be more intellectual,” but Romo makes her feel comfortable with who she is.
Simpson acknowledges that it’s better dating an athlete, because her past relationships with musicians, such as Nick Lachey and John Mayer, didn’t work. “There's too much know-it-all pop star,” she said.
On the other side, there has also been concern about how Romo’s friends feels that this NFL player is dating the pop star. Another source has said that Romo’s teammates like Jessica, but not the media baggage that comes with it; “Obviously, Tony's priorities are different now, and having Jessica always in the picture can be annoying.”
