Rob Lowe's Wife Accused of Sexual Harassment
1-May-2008
Written by: Ivana Cheong

Another ex-nanny of Rob Lowe and his family charges a lawsuit against the wife

On April 7, PEOPLE magazine stated that actor Rob Lowe and his wife, Sheryl, have filed three separate lawsuits against two of their former nannies and a former chef. They claimed to be in the middle of a $1.5 million extortion scheme led by Jessica Gibson, one of the nannies. Gibson alleged Rob Lowe of infidelity as he tried to have sexual relations with her; where the chef, Pete Clements, was accused of using the Lowes’ bedroom to have sex with third parties while stealing their prescription drugs.

This past Wednesday, PEOPLE has reported that the other nanny, Laura Boyce, filed a countersuit accusing Sheryl Lowe for sexual harassment as well as the couple for other labor code violations such as unpaid wages.

Boyce claimed that Sheryl was sexually intrusive and oftentimes somewhat racist. She claimed to have worked in an environment where Sheryl behaved in a “perverted, disgusting and crude manner”; “walk[ing] around naked, completely exposing herself,” and calling Boyce’s former NBA player boyfriend the “n” word.

TMZ has also stated other allegations including that Sheryl often talked about her family’s private parts while inquiring about Boyce’s private sex life.

In response, the Lowes’ attorney, Larry Stein, said that this case is full of “false allegations” meant to, irrelevantly and unjustly, drag the family into the matter. He’s accusing Gloria Allred, the lawyer who represents both Boyce and Gibson, of filing Boyce’s complaint “in an apparent attempt to divert the negative publicity which Allred's client, Gibson, has universally received” (TMZ).

The chef, Clements, hasn’t filed a legal response yet. Meanwhile, the Lowes are scheduled for a deposition on May 19 and 20 in Santa Barbara.
