Bon Jovi Guitarist Might Serve Jail Time
16-Apr-2008
Written by: Maggie Hibma

Richie Sambora, in lieu of the March arrest, could face jail time if convicted of DUI and child endangerment charges.

Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora may be charged with a DUI as well as child endangerment on the recommendation from officers at the Laguna Beach Police Department, according to eFluxMedia.

In late March, Sambora was arrested while driving his Hummer erratically in Laguna Beach while in the car with his girlfriend, Jenn Mallini, his 10-year-old daughter with Heather Locklear, Ava, and her teenage cousin, reported eFluxMedia. He was pulled over when the Hummer crossed over the line in the lane he was supposed to be traveling in.

If Sambora is convicted of both the DUI and child endangerment charges, the musician could face jail time. However, as reported by eFluxMedia, prosecutors are forced to look into the actual behavior of the suspect in this case to file child endangerment charges, and Sambora is said to have exhibited no “dangerous conduct.”

Sambora is scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment on May 7.
