Hollywood Star Caught in Terrifying Incident
Sex symbol George Clooney was mugged at gunpoint.
According to UsMagazine.com, on a recent trip to southern Sudan, Clooney was held at gunpoint while going through a checkpoint.
“There were all these young kids with AK47s. They pointed guns at us and stole what they could.”
Although the incident would have caused quite a stir to most people, Clooney seemed cool about the mugging, adding, “It happens all the time.”
The incident didn’t seem like a personal attack on the star, as the actor claimed that the assailants didn’t recognize him, later joking, “They don't have great TV out there!”
Clooney stars in Leatherheads opposite Renee Zellweger, which is in theaters Friday.
