“Arrested Development“ Film In Talks

"Arrested Development," the now canceled television series, may get a second life on the big screen as a major motion picture.

E! Online reports that actor Jason Bateman has confirmed that talks are in progress with producers Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard, in consideration of a film version of "Arrested Development." Bateman and other members of the former cast remain hopeful that this project will finally come into fruition.

The Fox channel series, which starred Bateman and Will Arnett, made its debut in November of 2003 and had a successful run until February of 2006.

Jason Bateman is currently noted for his most recent work in the Oscar nominated film "Juno."
