Britney Spears Considered "Greatly Disabled"
31-Jan-2008
Written by: Jodie Skinner

Britney will receive the help she desperately needs ... whether she wants it or not.

While eonline.com has stated Britney Spears feels “more comfortable” staying in the UCLA Medical Center this time, remaining in psychiatric hold for 72 hours, other sources hint that her stay could last longer, possibly even against her will.

The medical center where Spears is currently residing has informed TMZ.com that the pop star has been classified as “G.D.” -– Greatly Disabled. It appears her Bipolar disorder has taken even more control of the singer’s life, reaching a new level of danger, with “G.D.” meaning Spears is in such a state that she can no longer take care of her basic needs, such as acquiring clothing, food or shelter.

As if that isn’t bad enough for Spears, with this classification in place, it is now possible for her to be involuntarily committed.

While Spears arrived at the hospital at approximately 2:15 a.m., due to her state upon arrival, it took nearly two hours for her to be admitted. According to TMZ.com, Spears spent this time lashing out at those around, including screaming (presumably about her mother), "The only reason she's admitting me is because she wants to be alone with her boyfriend! She wants to sleep with my boyfriend!!"

If Spears will not take the time to sort out her life, at least now there is a chance that someone else in her life will have the sense to do what is best for her, even if it is against the singer’s will.
