Scribble
by Deborah Freedman
Two sisters draw pictures and magically their drawings develop a life of their own.
Scribble begins with two sisters drawing pictures. Big sister Emma loves to draw princesses, and little sister Lucie likes to draw kittens. Soon a spat ensues among the siblings and a scribble is placed on Emma's pink page.
In the story, through Lucie's imagination, the drawings take on a life of their own, but Emma states emphatically, " a princess and a kitty can't get married." Children ages 4 to 7 will enjoy reading this story to find out if they can.
Siblings will relate to the little fights that occur among them, in this case "scribbling rivalry."
